Pink Shirt Day started when a Grade 9 student was bullied for simply wearing a pink shirt in Canada in 2007. Two students of Grade 12 heard and decided to make a difference. Instead of standing by and watching it happen, they organized the students to wear pink clothing to say no to the bullying both inside and outside the school thoughout all over the world, including us.
We held an Anti-bullying and World Mental Health Week from Oct.7 to Oct.10 with many activities, which include students passing Kindness Notes, making Paper Chains, Wishes-and-Worries Mailbox, Poster Making Competition,“Expression” Poetry and Singing Performance, as well as a whole-school assembly led by psychology students.
Students participated in these activities actively and realized that they can do little things every day to stop bullying and make a better world.
